What is Follicular Unit Extraction ?
FUE is a modern and popular hair transplant technique where individual hair follicles are extracted directly from the donor area using a micro-punch tool. These follicles are then transplanted into the recipient area. Unlike FUT, this method does not leave a linear scar, making it ideal for patients who prefer short hairstyles. Procedure
Shaving the donor area – The donor site (back or sides of the scalp) is trimmed short.
Follicle extraction – A micro-punch tool (0.6–1 mm) is used to carefully remove individual follicular units.
Recipient site preparation – Tiny incisions are created in the balding areas at the right depth, angle, and direction.
Implantation – The extracted grafts are placed into the prepared sites to ensure natural growth patterns.
