What is Diclofenac?

Diclofenac is a pain-relief and anti-inflammatory medicine that belongs to a group of drugs called NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). It helps to reduce pain, swelling (inflammation), and fever by blocking certain natural substances in your body (called prostaglandins) that cause these symptoms.

How It Works

Diclofenac works by blocking COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes in your body. These enzymes make prostaglandins, which cause pain, swelling, and fever. When Diclofenac stops these enzymes, pain and inflammation go down.
