What is Glimepiride?

Glimepiride is an oral antidiabetic medicine that helps control high blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It belongs to the class of drugs known as sulfonylureas, which work by stimulating the pancreas to release more insulin.
