What is Ibugesic?
How It Works
Ibugesic works by:
Blocking cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, which produce prostaglandins — the chemicals responsible for pain, swelling, and fever.
By reducing prostaglandin production, it relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and lowers body temperature.
Uses
Ibugesic is commonly used to treat:
Headache and migraine
Toothache
Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea)
Muscle pain and back pain
Joint pain (arthritis, sprains, or injuries)
Cold, flu, or fever
Post-surgical or injury-related pain
Side Effects
Common (mild):
Nausea or vomiting
Stomach pain or acidity
Heartburn
Dizziness or headache
Serious (rare):
Stomach ulcer or bleeding
Liver or kidney problems
Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, breathing difficulty)
Increased blood pressure
Precautions
Avoid if you have stomach ulcers, liver/kidney disease, asthma, or heart problems.
Do not combine with other NSAIDs (like Diclofenac, Aspirin).
Avoid alcohol during use — it increases the risk of stomach bleeding.
Not recommended during pregnancy (especially in the last trimester).
Elderly people should use with caution.
