1. What is Teleconsultation?
Teleconsultation is a healthcare service that allows patients to consult with a registered healthcare professional remotely using audio, video, or other digital communication methods.
2. Voluntary Consent
By scheduling or participating in a teleconsultation, you voluntarily consent to receive healthcare services through electronic communication.
You understand that teleconsultation may not completely replace an in-person medical examination where one is clinically necessary.
3. Eligibility
By using teleconsultation services, you confirm that:
- The information provided by you is accurate.
- You are capable of providing informed consent.
- If the patient is a minor, consent has been provided by a parent or legal guardian.
- You agree to comply with applicable laws and medical guidance.
4. Patient Responsibilities
The patient agrees to:
- Provide accurate personal and medical information.
- Share relevant medical reports or prescriptions when required.
- Attend the consultation from a quiet and private environment.
- Follow the advice provided by the consulting healthcare professional.
- Seek emergency medical care when advised.
5. Doctor Responsibilities
The consulting healthcare professional will:
- Review the information provided.
- Conduct the consultation based on available information.
- Recommend further investigations or an in-person examination where clinically required.
- Maintain professional standards in accordance with applicable medical regulations.
6. Limitations of Teleconsultation
Teleconsultation has certain limitations, including:
- No physical examination.
- Dependence on the quality of the internet connection.
- Limited assessment in certain medical conditions.
- Some conditions may require an in-person consultation, diagnostic tests, or emergency care.
7. Medical Records & Privacy
Information shared during teleconsultation will be handled in accordance with the Nirog 360° Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
Medical information will only be used for providing healthcare services and related purposes.
8. Prescriptions
Where legally permitted and clinically appropriate, the consulting healthcare professional may issue a prescription.
Prescription decisions remain entirely at the discretion of the consulting healthcare professional and applicable regulations.
9. Technical Issues
Nirog 360° is not responsible for consultation delays or interruptions caused by:
- Internet connectivity issues
- Device malfunction
- Power outages
- Third-party communication platform failures
Where feasible, reasonable efforts may be made to reschedule the consultation.
10. Emergency Situations
Teleconsultation is not intended for medical emergencies.
If you experience a medical emergency, including severe chest pain, breathing difficulty, unconsciousness, major injury, stroke symptoms, or any life-threatening condition, immediately contact your nearest emergency medical service or visit the nearest hospital.
11. Payments & Cancellation
Consultation fees, cancellation requests, refunds, and rescheduling are governed by the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy and the policies of the consulting healthcare provider.
12. Consent Withdrawal
You may withdraw your consent for teleconsultation at any time before the consultation begins.
Withdrawal of consent after the consultation has commenced may not affect services already provided.
13. Changes to this Consent
Nirog 360° may update this Teleconsultation Consent from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with the updated revision date.
